Come hike with CAAA this fall in Cold Spring!
Connect with CAAA alumni as we explore the Cornish Estate Trail (Bull Hill Full Loop) in Hudson Highlands State Park.
The 5-mile loop is moderately challenging with about 1,400 feet of climbing. Along the way, we'll enjoy wide views of the Hudson River, pass a babbling brook, and explore the historic ruins of the Cornish Estate for a bit of mystery and adventure.
The trailhead is just over an hour from Manhattan, right outside downtown Cold Spring, New York.
No car needed—we'll all take the Metro-North together from Grand Central.
Whether you want to reestablish ties with people you know, meet up with new alumni, or just spend a day outdoors, we hope you'll join us for this fun fall event. Families with children are welcome to participate. Please note that this is an intermediate-level hike with uneven terrain and elevation changes and is best suited for participants who are comfortable with a moderately challenging outdoor experience.
What to Bring
Food & Essentials: Please bring water, a snack, and a charged phone. Eat a full meal and hydrate before you arrive. You'll thank yourself later on the climb.
Clothes: Wear sturdy footwear, boots or trail runners, whatever you're comfortable hiking in. Dress for the weather with breathable, lightweight layers and long sleeves and pants in case it's a bit buggy.
Nice to have: Bug spray and trekking poles or a walking stick if you like using them.
